The peak Palestinian lobby group has denounced recent antisemitic attacks but says Islamophobic sentiment should not be overlooked, and blamed violence against both Jewish and Muslim Australians on systemic racism.

The Australian Palestine Advocacy Network slammed politicians and the media for fanning tensions, as state and federal police commissioners announced a high-level antisemitism co-ordination group to meet monthly, share intelligence and co-operate on investigations that cross borders.
