ALP conference draws big business firepower

The big banks, Macquarie Group and health insurers are leading a large business delegation at the ALP National Conference this week, Labor’s first party gathering in government in 12 years.
But chief executives have mostly stayed away from the party’s big show, sending government relations teams and senior staff instead. A large waiting list of business figures missed out on tickets.
