Global death toll tops 325,000
The number of people who've died because of the COVID-19 virus has now topped 325,000, according to Johns Hopkins University's tally.
The university has US deaths at 92,645; UK deaths at 35,785 and the toll in Italy at 32,330.
There have been 28,135 deaths in France, 27,888 in Spain, 17,971 in Brazil and 9150 in Belgium.
Among other countries in the top 10: 8144 deaths in Germany; 7183 in Iran; and, 6106 in Canada.
As for China, its death toll is at 4638.
There have been 100 deaths in Australia and 21 in New Zealand.
