The outgoing ACT director of public prosecutions, Shane Drumgold, SC, has launched legal action to quash damning findings about his conduct in the rape trial of former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann.
Delivered to ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr this month, the report found Mr Drumgold lied to Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucy McCallum, “preyed on” inexperienced lawyers and acted in a way that was “grossly unethical”.
