ACT coronavirus free as weddings, sport back on in NT

The Northern Territory will end bans on social gatherings for weddings, funerals and outdoor sport on Friday in what will be the most significant easing of coronavirus restrictions yet seen in Australia.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the moves were the first step and he intended to lift social distancing measures and reopen pubs, gyms, churches and restaurants from May 15, provided the indoor activities are limited to under two hours.
