Faction-riven NSW Liberals can’t agree on election candidates

The NSW Liberal party’s executive committee on Wednesday rejected a deal negotiated by faction leaders to appoint candidates for the federal election.

The decision leaves president and former attorney-general Philip Ruddock with the challenge of solving one of the most pressing problems facing the party.
