Mining exploration company Emergent Resources has been busy spruiking itself after completing the third phase of its drilling programs in Western Australia. The miner has established a 50 kilometre strike length and identified multiple magnetic zones with widths of up to 200 metres at its Beyondie Iron Project. In a presentation to investors Emergent Resources said "grain size characteristics indicate favourable metallurgy and recovery", adding that samples had very low impurities. Beyondie is set to be developed in partnership with China Metallurgical Investment. The two companies have a memorandum of understanding for a 50:50 joint venture. Emergent Resources said demand for high grade magnetite concentrate from China was on the rise because the materials emitted less pollutants in the smelting process. The company gained 7 per cent following the presentation.
