Daisy Turnbull is among a list of well-credentialed women whom NSW Liberal insiders have approached to run in a plum Sydney state seat in an attempt to head off a potential teal threat.

The state’s moderate Liberal faction is hunting for a successor in the electorate of Vaucluse after long-term MP and one-time attorney-general Gabrielle Upton announced she would not contest the March 2023 election.
