Climate risk to Australia's economy, says Bill Shorten

Australia will risk its economy being crippled by climate change induced conflict in major energy supply markets unless it reduces reliance on oil and boosts the use of renewable energy, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten warned in a pre-election national security policy speech last night.
In a speech to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in Canberra, Mr Shorten warned the nexus between climate change and its potential threat to Australia's national security was barely spoken about.
