Sydney post for Vodafone NZ chief
Vodafone New Zealand Ltd announced yesterday that its managing director, Mr John Rohan, would take up a new position overseeing the company's operations in the Pacific from a base in Sydney. Sales, marketing and operations director Mr Grahame Maher would succeed Mr Rohan as managing director, it said. Vodafone, New Zealand's second-largest mobile phone operator after Telecom Corp, is a unit of Vodafone Group plc. Mr Rohan became managing director in October 1998 when Vodafone took over BellSouth New Zealand Ltd. He will now be director, Pacific Islands. Bloomberg
