The minnow of the listed brewing com-panies, J Boag & Son, has snared the rights to distribute Danish beer Carlsberg in Australia as it continues its push to become solely a beer company through a planned sell-off of three underperforming restaurants.

J Boag managing director Mr Philip Adkins said yesterday the company would initially just distribute Carlsberg, but provided it doubled the product's sales in Australia would seek to brew it under licence in Tasmania.
