Tasmania's J Boag & Son is seeking to achieve double digit profit growth in 1999-2000, underpinned by its fast-growing James Boag premium beer although it continues to be weighed down by its non-brewing activities.
The company suffered a $1.1 million loss in 1998-99 after writedowns of $3.7 million on its restaurant and hotel assets in the first half, although sales revenue increased 10 per cent to $60.1 million.
