Berejiklian took Maguire’s advice as he quit under corruption cloud

Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian told disgraced Liberal Daryl Maguire she’d “throw money” at his electorate during the 2018 byelection forced on government after the Wagga Wagga MP quit due to a corruption scandal.
Ms Berejiklian, who was in a secret relationship with Mr Maguire, sought his advice on what projects to consider in Wagga Wagga as her government prepared to fight to hold the seat.
