BCA urges $10b housing fund as building target slips
States and territories that make land available in high-demand suburbs and slash development approval times would be rewarded from a $10 billion federal government fund under an ambitious housing policy being urged by the Business Council of Australia.
This comes as teal and Liberal MPs take a united stand against the Victorian government’s move to boost housing density in affluent Melbourne suburbs including Toorak, Armadale, Malvern, Hawthorn, Brighton and Hampton.
