Andrews should explain his ‘casual disregard’ over Games

Premier Daniel Andrews is under mounting pressure to give evidence at two separate parliamentary inquiries into why his government cancelled the 2026 Commonwealth Games at short notice.
Senator Matt Canavan, the chairman of a federal inquiry into Australia’s preparedness to host the Commonwealth Games and the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane, wrote to Mr Andrews on Thursday asking him to attend a committee hearing on August 28.
