Here we go again. Barely a year after the last review, Treasurer Jim Chalmers is consulting again on the superannuation performance test. Treasury just released an options paper.

The super industry has relentlessly lobbied successive governments to dilute the three-year-old test. The same old arguments abound. From the test stopping funds investing in green energy and housing to all manner of “unintended consequences”.
