Swan says Cbus board was not too slow on payouts. ASIC disagrees
Cbus chairman Wayne Swan has denied that its board sat on its hands about widespread failings in how the industry superannuation fund managed bereaved and disabled members’ claims, and says he acted as soon as he became aware of the issue.
Breaking his silence on the customer service scandal engulfing the fund, Mr Swan said many criticisms of Cbus this week were “completely inaccurate” and sought to blame the failures on a third-party administrator.
