The prudential watchdog has paused its extraordinary intervention into the governance of two building industry super funds and their involvement with the lawbreaking CFMEU after its trustee challenged its move in the Federal Court.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority planned to fight trustee BUSSQ’s appeal, but agreed to the pause provided a court hearing into the matter was expedited.
