APRA to ‘test the limits’ of law on super funds that fudge expenses
The financial regulator has told superannuation fund bosses not to forget they are spending other people’s money when they sign off on travel and entertainment costs, warning it will take them to court if they fail to get the message.
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority was willing to “test the limits” of the law in pursuing cases of dubious spending on perks by super funds if they are not in their members’ best financial interests.
