Whistleblowers tell how tobacco industry exploits loopholes

Former employees of the Australian tobacco industry have revealed how it uses a loophole in the law to give incentives to retailers and drive sales.

They told researchers how the loophole enables tobacco companies to engage in relationship marketing and send retailers on trips to the Monaco grand prix, the FIFA World Cup and on all-expense paid holidays abroad. They also provided tickets to exclusive parties and sporting events.
