Victoria’s airborne outbreak sparks hotel, border alarm

The Australian Medical Association warns an airborne outbreak from Melbourne’s Holiday Inn has blown cracks open in the hotel quarantine system, which requires an urgent national intervention.

Victoria’s Chief Health Officer, Brett Sutton, said health authorities believe the use of a nebuliser by a COVID-19-infected guest is behind the spread at the Holiday Inn cluster which has grown to eight, after two more people tested positive to COVID-19 on Wednesday afternoon.
