How a tiny NT school became an exemplar for Indigenous education

Barker College, located amid the leafy canopy of Sydney’s wealthy upper North Shore, is as far as one can get both physically and metaphysically, from Gunyangara, a tiny Indigenous community, 11 hours east of Darwin, on the Gove Peninsula.

But a remarkable partnership is transforming a tiny school into an exemplar for Indigenous education with students who ranked in the top 5 per cent of a global robotics competition in the US.
