Why vaccine joy could turn to regret

Australia now has two vaccines on offer. Some experts think the differences between them matter and may lead to some regret down the track.

Although the country is celebrating the advent of vaccinations for COVID-19, not everyone is sharing the love. A few doctors are worried that with time, some of the joy could turn to regret.

While they welcome the rollout starting on Monday and don’t want to destroy public confidence, they are concerned that the current vaccine strategy could create two groups of Australians: one that receives the high-performing Pfizer shot, and one that receives the good, but slightly less effective AstraZeneca shot.
