Few silver linings as floods strand NSW regions
Businesses across NSW are counting the cost of the devastating floods after already struggling through the coronavirus pandemic last year.
The pandemic had already been rough for Angelo Santangelo and his wedding reception venue, which sits north-west of Sydney on the banks of the Hawkesbury River.
But he had a feeling it was about to get rougher as he watched heavy rain drench a wedding just over a week ago. He warned the guests it would be “touch and go”.
