Doomsday climate report helps set the scene for 2035 target

Australians are not unfamiliar with apocalyptic predictions of climate change doom. But even for the most seasoned of activists, Labor’s massive new climate report makes for sobering reading.

Among the alarming scenarios outlined in the National Climate Risk Assessment published on Monday are detailed city-by-city predictions of heat-related deaths (up 444 per cent in Sydney alone) and potential real estate losses of more than $600 billion.
