Australia ‘perfectly positioned’ for energy transition: US
Major opportunities have opened up in the United States to Australian battery metals, critical minerals and clean hydrogen companies due to the introduction of a landmark package of legislation supporting clean energy, according to one of the Biden administration’s most senior climate diplomats.
Rick Duke, the US deputy special envoy for climate, saidAustralia had an explicit invitation to join in the supply chain work needed to boost battery manufacturing and other applications to underpin the transition to low-carbon energy in the world’s biggest economy.
