BG pipelines auction to get under way next year

The heavyweight line-up of bidders for BG Group’s pipelines and other equipment linked to its $US20.4 billion Queensland Curtis LNG project will have to wait until well into next year before the sale process starts.

The heavyweight line-up of bidders for BG Group ’s pipelines and other equipment linked to its $US20.4 billion Queensland Curtis LNG project will have to wait until well into next year for the sale process to start.

It’s understood that after a series of meetings in London this week, Britain’s third-biggest oil and natural gas producer has decided to wait until LNG production starts at the project before asking for expressions of interest. A scoping study has been under way since February to prepare for the sale of the 540 kilometre pipeline.
