Slap wealthy public school parents with Medicare-style levy, lobby says

Governments should target wealthy parents who send their children to selective public schools though fees or a Medicare-style education levy rather than ripping funds from independent schools, the head of the NSW private school lobby has suggested.
Labor condemned Education Minister Simon Birmingham for saying that some private schools may be over-funded and some may be worse off as a result of government changes.
