As Hillary Clinton campaigned in the crucial swing state of Florida on Wednesday less than two weeks before the November 8 election, her Republican opponent defied political convention by detouring his campaign to open a new luxury Trump-branded hotel in Washington DC.

Located just five blocks from the White House, Mr Trump insisted his family company's business was booming.
