Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility accelerates loans before May election

The federal government's $5 billion Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility has accelerated its funding of projects throughout regional areas before the May election.
While the NAIF has been criticised for the slow pace of its investments – with only four loans made in the first two years of its operation – it has cranked up its spending this year, making another six investments.
