Palmer says $60m spending spree was 'worth it'
Queensland billionaire Clive Palmer's $60 million campaign failed to deliver him a seat in the Senate but he says it was worth it to stop Bill Shorten becoming prime minister.
Despite the biggest individual spending spree in Australia's political history – which resulted in blanket television and print advertisements through the election campaign – the United Australia Party did not win a single seat in either house of parliament.
