Climate policy 'impossible' to cost: Labor

Labor will go to the May 18 election without estimating the cost to business of its climate change policy, saying it was impossible to do so.

As industry economists said any estimate before the election would be unreliable given the lack of detail surrounding Labor's policy, the government stepped up its attack, claiming the cost to business would be between $27.5 billion and $35 billion.
