Government to clinch Gonski 2.0 school funding deal

The government is close to securing the passage of its Gonski 2.0 school funding package through the Senate after having scraped together the 10 Senate crossbenchers needed.
At the same time the Greens, who are badly divided, are back at the negotiating table with leader Richard Di Natale also keen to do a deal.
