John Howard has called for Australia's embassy in Israel to be moved to Jerusalem, using a Wentworth byelection visit to endorse Liberal Dave Sharma as a potential future leader.
The former prime minister appealed to Wentworth Liberals not to make a protest vote on Saturday, warning of chaos in Parliament if government loses its majority.
