Greens rupture over Batman loss, minor parties on the nose

Tensions inside the Greens have erupted in the wake of the party's failure to win the federal seat of Batman with leader Richard Di Natale hitting out at "destructive" insiders for sabotaging the campaign with leaks.

As the Greens licked their wounds on Sunday, Senator Di Natale, whose own leadership is being questioned by some in his party, singled out a series of damaging leaks throughout the campaign which accused Greens candidate Alex Bhathal of bullying, intimidation, branch-stacking and "ALP-style" factionalism.
