Economy expands 0.6pc in September quarter, 2.8pc over year

Annual growth has rebounded back to around full-speed, led by rising infrastructure investment, and as the impact of last year's fall in September quarter GDP fell out of the numbers.

Gross domestic product rose 0.6 per cent in the September quarter from the previous three months, when it rose by a revised 0.9 per cent (from a previously reported 0.8 per cent), the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
