Bill Ferris's 2030 innovation plan: 'Moonshots' and R&D shift
The veteran venture capitalist charged with developing a creative national strategy has reached back to the US President John F Kennedy for inspiration, calling on the Turnbull government to back "moonshots" or "national missions" in health, energy and environment.
Innovation and Science Australia's 2030 strategy plan, which also backs a shift away from the R&D tax incentive towards more direct funding, is the focus of a speech to be delivered Friday by ISA chair Bill Ferris.
