Labor is pinning its hopes on a legal argument over the status of NBN Co after dramatic raids in Parliament House in Canberra on Tuesday.

Staffers to Senator Stephen Conroy – whose office was raided in the middle of the election campaign – met Australian Federal Police officers for hours in a room in the Parliament House basement on Tuesday, as part of the AFP's investigation into alleged leaking of National Broadband Network documents to the Labor Party.
