A gold price at a 25-year high has enabled mining minnow International Goldfields, which contains the gold assets of Cape Lambert Iron Ore, to make a strong start as a listed company.

The gold explorer, which has projects in Western Australia, yesterday became the 46th new listing on the Australian Stock Exchange this year, hitting the boards at a premium to its 20¢ issue price.
