Gold price puts shine on Blackham

The jolt in the gold price to $US600 an ounce, for the first time in more than two weeks, helped West Australian goldminer Blackham Resources to a successful sharemarket debut yesterday, closing at a 22.5 per cent premium.
The company raised $4 million to invest in the Carbine North project located 60 kilometres north-west of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder mining centre in Western Australia. The stock was issued at 20¢ and closed at 24.5¢.
