Younger Chinese are the big spenders

Australian businesses looking to profit from the boom in Chinese tourists should pitch their products and services primarily to the millennial generation because they are the biggest travellers and spenders, according to China experts.
Independent economist Dr Andy Xie said the younger generation in China was different from their parents, who had experienced the starvation and deprivation of the Mao years and were more deferential to authorities.
