A new generation of young traders is taking advantage of super-cheap brokerage fees to pile into the sharemarket on an unprecedented scale.
The sharemarket's attraction for younger traders is a widening sweet spot of plummeting brokerage costs, coronavirus-induced government cash handouts, simplified online account sign-up processes, and an aversion to the feeble returns on cash saving accounts associated with ultra-low rates.
