Nikkei closes above 35,000 for first time since 1990

Shares rallied still higher in Japan, with the Nikkei 225 advancing 1.8 per cent to close above 35,000 for the first time since 1990.
The Nikkei closed at 35,049.86. The Topix ended 1.6 per cent higher at 2482.87. Both Bank of America and Goldman Sachs expect further gains as the year progresses.
