Small cap investors have weathered yet another underwhelming year on the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index, which again suffered at the hands of the declining resources sector.
In the year to date, the index was down 8 per cent at 2018.20 on Tuesday, after reaching a high of 2295.60 in September. In contrast, the S&P/ASX200 is up close to 1 per cent year to date.
