Elk Petroleum chief executive Brad Lingo will culminate a "fast and furious" first month at the oil junior with an ambitious plan to pursue acquisitions.

Mr Lingo, the former head of Drillsearch Energy, took the reigns at Elk on August 1 and is expected to cement the junior's acquisitive ambitions with the appointment of Perth-based Miro Advisors.
