Floats 2013: The ones that got away
A trickle of floats became a torrent in 2013. Sellers seized on a rising sharemarket and rushed for the exits, fund managers absorbed billions of dollars of new stock, and investors enjoyed fast gains in some listings.
Though not a record by capital raised, the 2013 initial public offerings market was arguably the most dynamic in a decade. It had a diverse range of small and mid-size industrial companies that sought a full or partial exit for vendors, extra capital and the highest valuation.
