Confession season kick-off fails to derail ASX run

Fund managers have welcomed signs of stability in Australia’s sharemarket, hoping a relatively tepid start to the so-called confessions season could augur less volatile times ahead for investors.
Improved earnings outlooks from the likes of energy provider AGL have helped buoy the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 to its best one-week performance in more than two months.
