It's not just speculative investors hunting for growth in the microcap space – larger companies hungry for growth in a sluggish economy are also scouring the sector, BT Investment Management says.

Paul Hannan, BT's head of smaller companies said the advantage for early stage investors was that microcaps are largely underresearched.
