Platinum Capital makes $10m loss

Platinum Capital has reported a full year loss after tax of $10.1 million, mainly due to losses on short positions.

The company's pre-tax net tangible assets fell to $1.41 a share from $1.57 a share, which includes the payment of dividends and taxes.

The full year loss was wider than the $373,000 loss posted in the 2019 financial year.

A final fully franked dividend of 3¢ a share was declared and will be paid on September 21.
