ASX finishes week at record closing high
ASX closes at another record high
The Australian sharemarket finished the week at a record closing high after another solid session on Friday.
The S&P/ASX 200 finished the day up 0.5 per cent, or 35.3 points, at 7295.4. It reached a record intraday high of 7300.5 during the session.
Gains were posted across the board led by ARB Corp which finished the day up 6.3 per cent at $45.00.
Origin Energy added 5.4 per cent to $4.72, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank climbed 5.1 per cent to $10.89, Reliance Worldwide Corporation firmed 4.1 per cent to $5.40 and Reece advanced 3.6 per cent to $22.75.
Gold miners posted the biggest losses of the day as Ramelius Resources declined 7.7 per cent to $1.80, Silver Lake Resources fell 8.2 per cent to $1.73, Perseus Mining tumbled 5.6 per cent to $1.35 and Resolute Mining dropped 6.1 per cent to 54¢.
